When changes are made to appliance management configuration policies or server settings, it is recommended to review the policy before the changes are pushed to the systems. Deselecting and then selecting the Allow Policy Push option allows you to review the policies before they are pushed. This reduces the errors because of incorrect policies being pushed, which can cause unintended effects.
Important
Allow Policy Push is applicable only to appliance management configurations and server setting policies. For all these settings in Policy Catalog to be applied and pushed to systems, it is mandatory to select the Allow Policy Push option.
In ePO - SaaS, go to Menu → Policy → Policy Catalog.
Create or edit the policy you want to update in Common Appliance Management <version>, Data Loss Prevention <version> (applicable only to Server Configuration settings), DLP Appliance Management <version>.
In the Apply Policy section, deselect the Allow Policy Push checkbox. By default, Allow Policy Push is enabled. Deselecting Allow Policy Push doesn't apply the configuration or policy changes you have made and this allows you to review the changes. After reviewing the configuration or policy changes, select Allow Policy Push.
Click Save or Apply Policy based on the policy you are changing.
