The Email Security - Server appliance supports two analysis scanning options: attachment and URL. Both options are controlled by licenses. The EMPS_ATTACHMENT_SCAN license allows the Email Security - Server appliance to submit email attachments for analysis. If this license expires or is deleted, attachments are counted, but not submitted for analysis. The EMPS_URL SCAN license allows the Email Security - Server appliance to submit URLs in emails for analysis. If this license expires or is deleted, URLs are counted, but not submitted for analysis.
Note
Both analysis options are enabled by default if the licenses are installed.
