Archiving the alerts at regular intervals ensures that the size of the alerts does not increase significantly. Archived alerts are compressed and then stored in an archive file.
Integrity Monitor and Database Activity Monitoring are provided with a mechanism for archiving alerts. Archived alerts do not appear in the alerts list unless the archive file is reloaded.
On the Alerts page, apply the appropriate filter criteria.
Select the alerts you want to archive.
Click Archive before the table header.
In the Archive Results dialog box, provide the reason for archiving, and click Archive.
The alerts are sent to the archive configured in the System → Archives section.
