(This topic applies to Trellix DLP - SaaS.) You can create a backup of your Trellix DLP Discover – SaaS policies and settings, and then restore them by loading it to an Trellix ePO - SaaS account.
You can encrypt your backup file by setting up a password. Set up an encryption password so that your Shared Password isn't in a readable format when recovering the backup file.
Note
Active Directory configuration migration isn't supported with the Backup & Restore feature.

Back up your
Trellix DLP Discover policies and settings in
Trellix ePO - On-prem:
- In Trellix ePO - On-prem, select Data Protection → DLP Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Enter an encryption password. Don't change the default setting for Encrypt the backup file.
- Click Backup to file. Options allow you to select the backup path, to open the file, and to save it.
- (Optional) Select the checkbox to save the policy injection object (OPG) in the backup.

Restore your
Trellix DLP Discover policies and settings to
Trellix ePO - SaaS:
- Log on to Trellix ePO - SaaS account, select Data Protection → DLP Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Select the checkbox Password if the backup file is encrypted.
- Enter the password you had set for encrypting the backup file.
- Click Restore from file and select the file you saved.

Important
As you are migrating for the first time to Trellix ePO - SaaS, make sure you review your policies before applying them, because certain features from Trellix DLP on-premises are currently not supported.
