Configurations and policies in Policy Catalog for Trellix DLP

Prev Next

Trellix DLP products use the Policy Catalog in ePO - On-prem to store policies and client configurations.

Policies are assigned to endpoints in the ePO - On-prem System Tree.

  • DLP Policy — Contains Active Rule Sets assigned to the policy, scheduled Endpoint Discovery scans, Settings for application strategy, device class overrides, and privileged users, and Policy Validation.

  • Server ConfigurationContains the Trellix DLP Discover, Trellix DLP Network Prevent, and Trellix DLP Network Monitor configurations. Allows you to set the evidence copy service and logging options, Rights Management, and SharePoint settings, and text extractor options.

    Note

You must create separate server configurations for each of your Trellix DLP products. The server configuration appears only if a Trellix DLP Discover, Trellix DLP Network Prevent, or Trellix DLP Network Monitor license is registered.

Trellix DLP Network Prevent and Trellix DLP Network Monitor use only the Shared Storage and Evidence and OCR section of the server configuration.

Trellix DLP Discover uses all sections except ActiveSync Proxy.

  • Client Configurations — Separate configurations for Microsoft Windows and macOS computers contain the configuration settings for the Trellix DLP Endpoint clients. The settings determine how clients apply Trellix DLP policies on the endpoints. Enable the Shared Storage and Evidence for Trellix DLP Endpoint products in the client configuration page.

    Note

Client configurations appear only if a license for Trellix DLP Endpoint is registered.
