Configure general appliance settings

Configure settings to be applied to several appliances from a single page.

Note

You must configure at least one DNS server. The Save button is not enabled until you enter a DNS server address. You do not need to configure all other areas of this page; set up only the settings that you want applied to your appliances.

  1. From Policy CatalogCommon Appliance ManagementGeneral<policy name>, configure Date and Time:

    1. Select your required time zone from the drop-down list.

    2. Select Enable NTP.

    3. To define a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server, click the GUID-3F0CB1B9-B84D-4E0B-AD10-4C36AC527A2C-low.png icon.

    4. Enter the server details.

    5. Click Update.

  2. Configure DNS settings:

    1. To enter DNS server details, click the GUID-3F0CB1B9-B84D-4E0B-AD10-4C36AC527A2C-low.png icon.

    2. Enter the server details.

    3. Click Update.

  3. Configure static routing settings:

    1. To enter static routing information, click the GUID-3F0CB1B9-B84D-4E0B-AD10-4C36AC527A2C-low.png icon.

    2. Enter the route details.

    3. Click Update.

  4. Configure SSH settings:

    1. Select your required option from the drop-down list.

    2. If you select Allow remote login from these hosts only, click the GUID-3F0CB1B9-B84D-4E0B-AD10-4C36AC527A2C-low.png icon.

    3. Enter the host address.

    4. Click Update.

  5. Configure logging settings:

    1. To enable remote logging, select Store log data remotely.

    2. To define a syslog server, click the GUID-3F0CB1B9-B84D-4E0B-AD10-4C36AC527A2C-low.png icon.

    3. Enter the syslog server address or domain.

    4. Select the protocol information.

    5. Enter the port.

    6. Click Update.

  6. Click Save to add the configured settings to the Policy Catalog in ePO - On-prem.
