An MTA domain can be configured to fail over to another domain if an unrecoverable failure occurs.
This procedure describes how to use the Settings > Email MTA page to configure a default failover MTA next-hop domain for email analysis.
Prerequisites
An established connection between the Email Security - Server appliance and the Internet.
You are logged in to the Email Security - Server appliance Web UI as an Admin or Operator.
To configure an MTA next hop fail over domain:
Go to the Settings > Email MTA page.
Scroll down to the Domain and Next‑Hop section.
Enter an IP or Domain address for the next-hop MTA failover domain in the Next-hop Failover field.
Click ADD.
To verify your configuration changes, check the Next-hop Failover column in the Current Domain and Next-Hop table.
