To configure email analysis congestion control using the Email Security - Server appliance Web UI, use the "Congestion Control" area on the Settings > Email MTA page. You can configure the Analysis Bypass option, the Connection Refusal option, or both.
Prerequisites
A validated connection is established between the Email Security - Server appliance and the Internet.
You are logged in to the Email Security - Server appliance Web UI as an Admin or Operator.
Go to the Settings > Email MTA page.
(Optional) Modify the Bypass Analysis configuration.
To disable Bypass Analysis, clear the Bypass checkbox.
To change the Analysis Bypass threshold, enter a value between 1 and 20000 in the Bypass Threshold field.
To enable Bypass Analysis, select the Bypass checkbox.
Select the Bypass check box.
(Optional) Modify the Connection Refusal configuration.
To disable Connection Refusal, clear the Refuse Connection checkbox.
To change the Connection Refusal threshold, enter a value between 100 and 30000 in the Refuse Connection Threshold field.
To enable Connection Refusal, select the Refuse Connection checkbox.
Select the Bypass check box.
Click Apply.
Go to the Settings > Email MTA page.
Select the Refuse Connection check box.
Enter an appropriate number in theRefuse Connection Threshold field.
The number can range from 100 to 30000.
Click Apply.
