Configure a File Server repository for scanning.
You can use regex in Perl syntax when specifying include or exclude parameters for folders, rather than using a specific full path.
For include entries, specify the path prefix, such as \\server or \\server\share\folder. The regular expression must be an exact match of the path suffix.
For exclude entries, folders that match the path are skipped entirely from the scan.
In ePO - SaaS, go to Menu → Data Protection → DLP Policy Manager.
Click the Definitions tab.
In the left pane, under Repositories, select the type of repository.
Select Actions → New Item.
Enter a name, select the credentials to use, and configure at least one Include definition.
(File Server repositories) Configure at least one Include entry.
Select the Prefix Type.
In the Prefix field, enter the UNC path, single IP address, or IP address range.
Note
The UNC path can be the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) (\\myserver1.mydomain.com) or the local computer name (\\myserver1). You can add both versions to a single definition. Multiple entries are parsed as logical OR.
(Optional) Enter a regular expression for matching folders to scan.
Click Add.
(Optional) Configure Exclude parameters to exclude folders from being scanned.
Click Save.
