Define a filter

Prev Next

You can filter lists and tables to display data that match specific criteria.

Note

The search function is based on the elastic approach. For more about elastic queries, see https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/3.0/queries.html.

  1. In the first filter field, set the filter criteria in any of these ways:

    1. Type your query using simple syntax (as you would in a standard search engine).

    2. Select items from a list or widget.

    3. If you select an item in a list, it is added to the filter as an inclusion. If you click the box at the end of a row and select Filter Out, the item is entered into the filter as an exclusion (preceded by a minus sign).

    4. If you select items in more than one widget, the items are added with the AND operator.

  2. Click Apply.
