Deleting an MTA Domain Configuration Using the Web UI

Prev Next

If a domain is configured with an incorrect next-hop address, incoming email to be forwarded to the incorrect address is deferred. To fix the problem, update the domain specification by replacing the incorrect next-hop address.

For details, see Updating an MTA Domain Configuration Using the Web UI.

Caution

Do not delete an existing MTA domain in order to fix an incorrect next-hop IP address. Doing so deletes the email that was deferred for the domain.

This procedure describes how to use the Settings > Email MTA page to delete a domain configuration.

Prerequisites

  • An established connection between the appliance and the Internet.

  • You are logged in to the appliance Web UI as an Admin or Operator.

To delete a domain and next-hop IP addresses:
  1. Go to the Settings > Email MTA page.

  2. In the Current Domain and Next‑Hop section, select the checkbox for the domain and next‑hop definition that you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.
