Deploy Trellix DLP Discover Server from Trellix ePO - SaaS

(This topic applies to Trellix DLP - SaaS.) To deploy Trellix DLP Discover Server software to a Windows Server managed by Trellix ePO - SaaS, you need to use the Advanced Product Deployment page and create deployment tasks.

1. Log on to Trellix ePO - SaaS as an administrator.
2. Select Menu → Software → Product Deployment , then click Advanced Product Deployment link under Advanced Options.
3. On the Advanced Product Deployment page, click New Deployment.
4. Configure the product deployment.

   Field	Action
   Name	Enter a product deployment name.
   Package	Select Trellix DLP Discover Server <version> as the software package.
   Action	Select Install.
   Command line	Enter the command to deploy the software.
   + Add another package	Click to add another software package. If you want to use the OCR feature, select Trellix DLP OCR Add-On <version>.
   Total	Select Individual Systems — Select individual systems from System Tree for fixed deployment. Select by Tag or Group — Select tags or System Tree groups for continuous deployment.
   Auto update	Automatically deploy latest version of products — Select to automatically deploy the latest product version. Allow end users to postpone this deployment (Windows only) — Select to postpone the software deployment. Enter the maximum number of times that you can postpone the deployment. Enter the time (seconds) after which the postpone option expires. Enter the text to appear when postponing the deployment.
   Schedule Type	Select: Run Immediately — to immediately start product deployment. Once — to run the deployment task once. Specify the start date, start time, and time zone. Daily — to run the deployment task daily. Specify the start date, start time, and time zone.
   Deployment Description	Enter a deployment description.

5. Click Save.

The deployment task appears on the Advanced Product Deployment page.

The deployment starts only when the next agent-server communication happens. The default and minimum agent-server communication interval is 60 minutes. To start the deployment immediately, if you have selected the Run Immediately schedule, go to Menu → Systems → System Tree → Wake Up Agents and set the Randomization value to 0.

To verify whether the Trellix DLP Discover Server is installed, go to Menu → Systems → System Tree → Systems and verify if the Trellix DLP Discover Server is listed in the Systems tab.
