Generating the Statistics Report

The statistics report provides a high-level view of email traffic gathered by the Email Security - Server appliance over a reporting time frame.

Alternatively, you can generate the Email Hourly Stat report and the Email Activity report to display similar information. For example, the Email Hourly Stat report provides an hourly breakdown of the email traffic over the time frame.

Note

The statistics report display time zone is UTC by default. The Dashboard uses the appliance time zone. If the Dashboard is not set to the UTC time zone, the high-level statistics generated by the gen-emps-rpt command are different from the high-level views of the threat intelligence displayed on the Web UI Dashboard page.

The statistics report is set to be generated monthly if you did not specify a time frame. When you generate the statistics report on the appliance, the start time of the report begins at 12:00 AM (start of the day).
