System requirements for setting up a virtual appliance
Your host computer must adhere to the system requirements. For VMware virtual environment, see the VMware Knowledge Base article 1003661 available at https://www.vmware.com to get the minimum system requirements for VMware vSphere and VMware vCenter Server.
Note
The processor in your virtual environment must support the SSE (Streaming SIMD Extensions) 4.2 and AES-NI instruction set.
You need an x86 64-bit virtualization host with a Westmere processor or newer.
Ensure that the virtual appliance that you run meets the system requirements based on your business needs. You can choose to deploy a virtual appliance using one of these predefined deployment options.
Note
DLP Capture is currently not supported with ePO - SaaS. Don't use the predefined deployment options Standard VM - Capture, Small VM - Capture, and Large VM - Capture while deploying Trellix DLP Network Monitor – SaaS appliance.
Predefined deployment options | Processors | RAM (GB) | Capture disk capacity (TB) | OS HDD (GB) | RW HDD (GB)** |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Standard VM | 4 | 12 | N/A | 10 | 300 |
Small VM* | 1 | 4 | N/A | 10 | 150 |
Large VM | 16 | 16 | N/A | 10 | 300 |
Note
* Use the Small VM option only for evaluation purposes.
** The disk size displayed in the Size on Disk field while deploying a VMware virtual appliance is the total disk size of all different virtual machine variants that can be deployed and isn't the actual disk size that will be used for the predefined deployment VM variant you have chosen to install. For the actual disk size of the deployed virtual appliance, see RW HDD details in this table.
