Install Database Security sensor on HP-UX platform

Download the appropriate depot.bin installation file for sensor for HP-UX platform from the Downloads site.

Extract the package and locate the installation file.

The installation file name specifies the version and build of the software in the format: Trellix-dbs-sensor-<version#>-<build#>.<architecture>.depot.bin

Copy the sensor installation file to the database host server.

Log on as the root user, then run this command to install the sensor:

sh <installation file path>/Trellix-dbs-sensor-<version#>-<build#>.<architecture>.depot.bin

Optional parameters:

Usage: sh <installation file path>/Trellix-dbs-sensor-<version#>-<build#>.<architecture>.depot.bin [-x] [-s] [-h] [-R]

-h Display help message.

-x Extract only. Do not proceed to install or update the software.

-s Silent. Do not prompt for anything.

-R Installation root path.

When prompted, enter the Database Security server’s IP address and listening port.

Run this command to start the service:

/sbin/init.d/mfe-dbs-sensor start
