The Database Security sensor is installed on the database host server using an installation package.
Before installing the Database Securitysensor, verify that the database host server where you want to install the sensor meets all requirements. For more information, see Database Security sensor requirements.
Note
Installing the sensor creates an OS user on Unix/Linux platforms which is used for the Database Security sensor to analyze database activity. The user is named mfedbs and is member of the dba, oinstall groups (if the groups exist).
