Install the Trellix CP server

The Trellix CP installer installs and configures Tomcat and guides you through server installation. For information about upgrading from Trellix CP 1.0.x, refer to the Upgrade from Trellix CP 1.0.x section.

You must know:

  • Domain controller name or IP address of the LDAP server, and the port number that LDAP runs on. The default port is 389.

  • LDAP account credentials to verify the connection to the LDAP server.

  • Certificate KeyStore password and certificate alias.

Important

If you are setting up multiple Trellix CP servers to improve availability, repeat the installation process on each server.

  1. On the system where you want to install the Trellix CP server, right-click the installer file, then select Run as administrator.

  2. On the Welcome page, click Next.

  3. Read and accept the End User License Agreement, then click Next.

  4. Select the path to the location of the Java SE 8.0 (or later) JRE installed on the system, then click Next to verify the JRE version at the selected path.

  5. Trellix Conduit Platform configures SSL on Tomcat to use port 443. Click Next to verify that no other application is using port 443.

  6. Select the folder location to install the server, then click Next.

  7. Select the Certificate KeyStore file, enter the password for the KeyStore and alias for the certificate, then click Next to verify that the certificate can be accessed.

  8. Enter your LDAP server URL and credentials for your installation service account, then click Next to verify connection to the LDAP server with the supplied credentials.

  9. Click Install to begin the installation.

  10. When installation completes, click Finish.
