  • RAID controller card and battery backup unit (Super Capacitor)

Purpose: Required inside the Trellix DLP 8800 appliance chassis to interface with and manage the external DLP Capture Storage Array.Cache Protection: Uses Flash Backed Write Cache (FBWC) along with a single-tier RAID battery backup unit (super capacitor). This component preserves write cache contents in flash memory during a sudden power outage.

  • Fiber Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) Network Interface Card (NIC)

Purpose: Used to connect the appliance to your environment using high-speed fiber-optic cabling instead of standard copper connections.

Consists of a fiber OCP card/SFP NIC that installs into the Open Compute Project (OCP) slot below the PCIe riser slot. It requires the insertion of SR (Short Range) or LR (Long Range) transceivers into its physical network ports.
