Supported appliance models and features

The Trellix DLP Network appliance is a 1-U rack mount chassis. You must be using a supported appliance model according to how you want to use the product.

Trellix DLP Network appliance is supported on Trellix DLP 8800, Trellix DLP 7700, and Trellix DLP 6600 appliance models and runs on the supported software version. You can set it up as a standalone appliance or as a member of a cluster. Deploying the appliance in a cluster enables you to load balance the analysis of the network traffic.

To analyze traffic on a 10 Gigabit Ethernet link using a cluster of Trellix DLP Network Monitor Network appliances, all members of the cluster must have 10 Gigabit Ethernet card.

Note

Trellix DLP 8800, Trellix DLP 7700, and Trellix DLP 6600 appliances and virtual installations (where the virtualization host supports 10G networking) support 10 Gigabit Ethernet link.

* Trellix does not support adding more memory to Trellix DLP Network appliances.

Tip

For performance optimization, make sure that all appliances in a cluster are of the same model, and all virtual appliances have the same specifications.

To run the DLP Capture feature on Trellix DLP 8800, Trellix DLP 7700, or Trellix DLP 6600 appliance, connect the appliance to an external storage device, known as the Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array.
