Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac 11.11.0.501 requires Trellix DLP 11.12.0.60 or later extension. Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac 11.11.0.501 client software is not compatible with earlier versions of Trellix DLP extensions.

Important

If you are using older versions of Trellix products on macOS, you must install or upgrade to the latest rebranded version for all the products to function normally. Upgrading any one of the products, except Trellix Agent and Policy Auditor, removes all other products that were previously installed. For more information about installing or upgrading products on macOS, see KB96485.

New or changed features

This release introduces new features or improves existing features:

Support for WebDAV — Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac now supports WebDAV protocol for evidence file storage. You can configure shared storage folder locations to use WebDAV for uploading and managing evidence files directly over HTTPS. This enhancement enables secure, remote access to evidence repositories and is especially useful for distributed environments where traditional SMB or local file shares may not be accessible.

Note

Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac only supports WebDav using Microsoft Internet Information Service Manager (IIS).

Clipboard Protection for macOS — Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac now supports Clipboard Protection rules on macOS endpoints that allows you to monitor, block, or require justification for copying sensitive content between applications. You can configure rules to specify the source of an application, including supported browsers, or apply the rule across all applications.

Rules can be filtered using end-user definitions to target specific users or groups, and define exceptions on the Exceptions tab to allow specific workflows.

Note

Due to macOS design, third-party applications like Trellix DLP can detect when content is copied to the system pasteboard but cannot access the pasteboard content or determine when and where it is pasted. As a result, Trellix DLP can block sensitive content from being copied to the clipboard but cannot track or control the destination application where the content is pasted.

AirDrop Support — Using in-built applications definitions, Trellix DLP Endpoint for Mac now supports monitor, allow, or prevent file transfers via AirDrop on macOS endpoints by configuring application file access protection rules. This enables the enforcement of data security policies for local wireless file sharing between Apple devices.
