To ensure a successful uninstallation of Database Security sensor on Windows platform, take the following precautions:
Check that no other user on the system is running Database Security sensor.
Check that no other user is accessing file resources related to Database Security sensor.
Make sure that the operating system account that is used to uninstall Database Security sensor has administrator rights.
Close the Task Manager, if running.
Close the Services monitor, if running.
Note
Uninstallation of Database Security sensor does not affect the installation status of WinPCap (which can be optionally installed alongside Database Security sensor). If you want to uninstall WinPcap, use its uninstallation wizard via the Apps & features section of Windows settings.
Perform the following steps to complete the uninstallation of Database Security sensor on Windows platform:
Launch the Start menu and open Settings. Then, go to Apps & features.
Navigate to Database Security sensor.
Click Uninstall beside the selected sensor.
Trellix DBS Sensor Uninstall wizard is displayed. Click Yes to continue, or No to quit.
If you continue with the uninstallation, an advisory dialog might appear if the Task Manager or Services monitor are open. Close these and continue by clicking OK.
A final dialog box appears, to indicate the successful removal of Database Security sensor from the system. Click OK to dismiss this dialog box.
The Database Security sensor on Windows platform is uninstalled successfully.
