Using the Software Catalog (ePO - On-prem version 5.10; Software Manager in ePO - On-prem versions 5.9 or earlier) is the most convenient method to upgrade an extension. As new versions of the software are released, you can use the Update or Update All option to update the extensions.
Verify that the ePO - On-prem server name is listed under Trusted Sites in the Internet Explorer security settings.
In ePO - On-prem 5.10, select Menu → Software → Software Catalog.
In ePO - On-prem 5.9 or earlier, select Menu → Software → Software Manager.
In the left pane, expand the product categories and select Data Loss Prevention.
Select the Trellix DLP product extension you need.
In ePO - On-prem 5.9 or earlier, the install package and extension details are displayed in the lower pane.
For all updates available, click Update All. To update a specific extension, click Update.
Click Update in ePO - On-prem 5.10. Click OK in ePO - On-prem 5.9 or earlier.
The extension is installed. You can use the Check In All or Check In option to install any new extension or package.
Note
When upgrading the or Trellix DLP Network Monitor appliances from v11.4.x to v11.6.x, you must upgrade both the 11.4.x appliance software and the 11.4.x Appliance Management extension to v11.6.x bundle at the same time. Upgrading either one of these without upgrading the other software causes a policy application failure on your appliances. If you have multiple appliances, you must upgrade them all at the same time, else the appliances might end up in an outage condition due to the mismatch in the extension and appliance software version.
