Upgrading the Trellix DLP Endpoint client software is identical to initial installation, except that Trellix ePO - On-prem and Trellix Agent are already installed.
Download the software from the Trellix download site or use the Software Catalog (Software Manager in Trellix ePO - On-prem 5.9.x) with the Download option.
Verify that the Trellix Agent version on your endpoints is compatible with the new client.
Upgrade the Trellix DLP extension in Trellix ePO - On-prem before upgrading the client software.
Note
The Trellix DLP extension version must be the same or newer than the Trellix DLP Endpoint client version.
Install the Trellix DLP extension update manually or using the Software Catalog.
In Trellix ePO - On-prem, select Menu → Software → Main Repository.
In the Main Repository, click Check In Package.
Select package type Product or Update (.ZIP), then click Browse.
Trellix DLP clients are named
\HDLP_Agent_[version number].zip.Click Next.
Review the details on the Check in Package page, then click Save.
The package is added to the Main Repository.
Deploy the clients to the endpoints with Trellix ePO - On-prem.

You can also deploy Trellix DLP Endpoint client software to your network using third-party enterprise software deployment tools.
