Printer protection rules manage both local and network printers, and either block or monitor the printing of confidential material.
Printer protection rules in Trellix DLP Endpoint support advanced mode and V4 printers. Defined printers and end-users can be included or excluded from a rule. Image printers and PDF printers can be included in the rule.
Printer protection rules can include application definitions. You can define ignored processes that are exempted from printer protection rules on the Printing Protection page in the Windows Client Configuration and Mac OS X Client Configuration.
