Add Trellix ENS 26.x extensions and packages when upgrading using third-party tool

When using a third-party tool to upgrade to Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) 26.x, you need to upgrade the product extensions on the ePO - On-prem server. You can upgrade from version 10.2.x, 10.5.x, or 10.6.x.

The product extensions manage policies and tasks on the ePO - On-prem server. You can retrieve them through ePO - On-prem or from the Trellix Product Downloads site.

As a best practice, we recommend you to upgrade the deployment packages into Main Repository. Make sure that the extension version is always greater than or equal to the deployment package.

Note

For the Intel architectures, you can directly upgrade to version 26.x from version 10.7.0 (November 2022) or later. For the ARM architectures, the upgrades are not supported and upgrade section is not applicable, refer 000014791 for details.

Task

  1. In ePO - On-prem, select Menu → Software → Software Catalog (Software Manager on version 5.9.x).

  2. From the Category list, expand Endpoint Security, then click Bundles.

  3. In the right pane, select Trellix Endpoint Security 10.7.

    Trellix Endpoint Security 10.7 includes Adaptive Threat Protection, Firewall, Threat Prevention, and Web Control.

  4. From the Actions column, click Check In All.

  5. Select the checkbox to accept the license agreement.

  6. Click Check In.

When check-in is complete, the product extensions are listed on the Extensions page and the installation packages are listed in the Main Repository. You can view the extensions and packages in these locations.
