You can add virtual devices to your Trellix Application Data Monitor devices, and set rules that determine the packets that each virtual device processes.

Verify that your Trellix Application Data Monitor devices support virtual devices.

  1. On the system navigation tree, select a Trellix Application Data Monitor device, then click the Properties icon GUID-F191D568-8B93-4D2C-9BFC-F1342FC407BD-low.png.

  2. Click Virtual DevicesAdd.

  3. Enter the information requested, then click OK:

    • Name the virtual device and enter the URL address where you can view this virtual device's information, if you have one set up. Click the Variables icon GUID-911771E2-BC63-4466-BDB0-4D486C98E7FA-low.png if you need to add a variable to the address.

    • Enable the device.

    • If an ELM exists on your system and you want log data received by this virtual device on the ELM, select the storage pool.

    • If zones exist, select the zone for this device.

    • Define and determine the order of selection rules for the device.

  4. Click Write to add the settings to the device.
