With ePO - SaaS tags, you can group systems to maintain consistent configurations, software deployments and collect similar data for reporting/create similar reports. Using tags, you can effectively create ad hoc groups of systems for a specific or even temporary purpose. Once tags are assigned, you can use ePO - SaaS to apply a particular policy or execute a client task on all systems with that tag, without configuring each of those systems manually.
As an example, say you want to update all your systems to the latest version of Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) (ENS) over the next quarter. You can create a new "Upgrade this System" tag for all endpoints using any version of ENS older than 10.6. Using ePO - SaaS, you create a query to identify all such systems in your environment and apply that tag. Then, you create a client task to deploy the latest version of ENS to all tagged systems, and ePO - SaaS handles the rest.
ePO - SaaS provides multiple ways to apply system tags. You can use a method that suits your requirement:

You can schedule a server task that runs and applies the tags on systems, during the time you have set. You can use this method to automatically apply tags, when new systems are added to System Tree and if they match the criteria you have defined.
You can schedule and run a query to extract the list of systems and then apply tags to them.
To apply tags manually by selecting the systems one by one. |
