Configure a virtual local storage drive

Set up virtual local storage to increase data storage capacity.

Add virtual local storage devices to the virtual Trellix Enterprise Security Manager - Enterprise Log Manager from its virtual environment. To add the storage, see the documentation for the virtual machine environment.

Supported drive formats

  • SCSI

  • SATA

    Note

    IDE is not supported.

  1. On the system navigation tree, select the virtual Trellix Enterprise Security Manager - Enterprise Log Manager, click the Properties icon GUID-F191D568-8B93-4D2C-9BFC-F1342FC407BD-low.png, then click Data Storage.

    Note

    Root and boot partitions are unavailable as viable storage options.

  2. Click the Virtual Local tab, then select a device from the list of available virtual devices.

    Note

    The Virtual Local tab is only available if the system detects virtual storage.

  3. If the Status column says Format required, click Format to format the device with ext4 file format.
