Enforce an uninstallation password to prevent unauthorized removal of Trellix security products from your network.

On Trellix ePO - On-prem managed systems, when the ENS Common policy is configured with an uninstallation password, Trellix ENS for Linux Threat Prevention and Firewall require this authentication for removal from Linux endpoints.

To enable authentication during the removal process, you must configure the uninstallation password settings.

Follow these steps to configure uninstallation password settings for product removal:

  1. Log on to the ePO - On-prem server as an administrator.

  2. From the Policy Catalog, select Endpoint Security Common as the product, then Options as the category.

  3. Click New Policy, specify a name for the policy, then click OK.

  4. Navigate to Uninstallation , select Require password to uninstall the client.

  5. In the Password field, enter a secure password.

  6. In the Confirm Password field, type the password again to verify it.

  7. Click Save.
