Set up an environment to run the installation script.
Consult with your Trellix ESM specialist to determine the optimal size of your VM.
Make sure you're familiar with Azure. You can find information about Azure on the Microsoft Azure web site.
These instructions refer to third-party products. You might need to adapt to changes in interfaces or processes.
From the Azure dashboard, select an Ubuntu server.
The Create a virtual machine window opens. You use this server to run a script to create the SIEM VM.
Select a Resource Group.
Type a server name.
Select a Region.
Select a machine size. You can use a small VM to run the script.
Set the Authentication type to Password and set the logon credentials.
Set Public inbound ports to Allow selected ports.
Under Select inbound ports, select SSH.
You use SSH to copy the installation script file to the server and to access the console of the Linux server.
Click Review+create.
Review the information and click Create.
The virtual server is created and a confirmation is shown. This can take a few minutes.
Click Go to resource.
