Create Remote Commands

The Remote Commands are stored and can be executed over any particular event.

To save and store a remote command:

  1. From the Trellix ESM dashboard, click GUID-0177D71C-5A80-43D5-9629-5D396CF2895F-low.pngSystem Properties.

  2. In System Properties, click Profile Management Remote Commands Add .

    The Remote Command window appears on the screen.

  3. Enter the name in the Name field and description of the command in the Description field.

  4. From the Type drop-down list, select Execute Command, Launch URL, or Background URL.

    The options change based on your selection.

  5. Select the other options and enter your commands in the Command String field based on the Remote Command type:

    • Execute Command

      1. Change the Time Change and Date Format options according to your choice.

      2. Enter the SSH connection details in the Host, Port, Username, and Password fields respectively.

      3. Enter your command in the Command String field with variables. To insert the variables, click the Insert Variable icon.

      4. Click Ok to add this command.

    • Launch URL

      1. Change the Time Change and Date Format options according to your choice.

      2. Enter the URL in the Command String field that you want to run on the device browser. To insert the variables, click the Insert Variable icon.

      3. Click Ok to add this command.

    • Background URL

      1. Change the Time Change and Date Format options according to your choice.

      2. Enter the URL in the Command String field that you want to run on the device browser as a background task. To insert the variables, click the Insert Variable icon.

      3. Click Ok to add this command.

    Note

    The variables used within the command string must be enclosed with braces and a dollar sign. For example, [$Signature ID]

The list of remote commands appears on the list.

The Remote Commands on the list can be edited or removed from the list with the following options:

  • Edit: Select the Remote Command from the list and click Edit to change the values of the Remote Command.

  • Remove: Select the Remote Command from the list and click Remove to delete the Remote Command.
