Creating static sets

A list of all provisioned hosts fills the All Hosts pane on the left of the Create Host Set: Static List page.

1. Log in to the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI.

2. On the Manage Hosts menu, select Host Sets.

3. Hover over the Create Host Set button in the upper right-hand corner of the page, and select Using static list.

4. Enter a name in Set Name. See Naming host sets

5. Locate the hosts to include in your set by searching for them in the All Hosts list.

   • To search for one or more hosts by IP address, subnet, hostname, or date, enter full or partial information about the host or group of hosts that you want to find in the Search by hostname, IP, or date field.

     For example, if you want to add hosts on the 172.20 network, enter 172.20 as a search term.

6. Select the host in the left pane, and then click Add or drag the selected host into the central pane. Use Ctrl-click to select more than one host.

   Note

   You cannot use the Shift key to select a range of hosts.

   When you select a host in the center pane, detailed information about that host appear in the pane on the right.

7. To remove a host from the set, select the host in the center pane and then click Remove.

8. (Optional) Download a *.csv file with information about the hosts in the set. Click the Download icon at the top of the center pane. You can use the *.csv files as a reference to help you recreate sets that are lost.

9. Click the Create button at the top right of the page to create and save your static host set.
