To install the Solidcore client on endpoints managed by ePO - SaaS, you need to generate a deployment link to send to your users.
After you send the installation URL to the endpoint users in your network, they use a browser to access the installation URL and open the Trellix Smart Installer. The Trellix Smart Installer starts this process:
The Trellix Agent is downloaded to the system.
The system communicates back to ePO - SaaS, and adds the system to the default group, My Organization, in the system tree.
After these communications, the system appears in the system tree as Managed.
After the Trellix Agent is installed, it downloads the product software for Solidcore.
Log on to ePO - SaaS as an administrator.
Select Menu → Software → Product Deployment.
Enter a Group name and select Windows as Platform Type.
In Endpoint Protection Software, select Solidcore:Application Control.
Under Advanced Options, select Software is automatically updated to the latest version.
Click Save.
A dialog box displays the installation URL.
To install on your endpoint, click Download Installer.
To create a deployment link for users:
Click Copy URL to Clipboard.
Send the deployment link to your users, with instructions for using it to install on their endpoints.
After your endpoint users have installed Trellix Agent on their systems, they communicate with ePO - SaaS, download the product software, and bring Solidcore under ePO - SaaS management.
To verify that users have installed Solidcore on each endpoint, select Menu → Systems → System Tree, click Systems, and confirm that Solidcore is listed on the Product tab. Click the row to review additional information, including the product version and installation path.
If the Solidcore information is not listed, check the log files on the endpoint to verify that the software was successfully installed. If the Solidcore client installation fails, the log files provide information about the cause of failure.
