If configured, users can mitigate performance issues by temporarily disabling Endpoint Security scanners from the Trellix system tray icon. The scanners are reenabled at the next policy enforcement, based on settings in the policy.

This option might not be available, depending on how the settings are configured.
Task
Right-click the Trellix system tray icon and select Disable Endpoint Security Scanners from the Quick Settings menu.
On Windows 10 systems, when the on-access scanner is disabled, Windows Defender activates.
To re-enable the scanners, either:
Wait for the next policy enforcement.
Right-click the Trellix system tray icon and select Trellix Agent Status Monitor. In the Trellix Agent Monitor, click Enforce Policies.
