email-analysis impersonation add <name> <email-address>

Adds a sender impersonation rule for one or more names and email addresses.

For details on configuring impersonation rules, refer to the "Impersonation Rules" section in the Email Security — Server User Guide.

Syntax

email-analysis impersonation add <name1>[,<name2>,...] <email-address1>[,<email-address2>,...]

Parameters

<name>

A valid name of an email sender. Enclose names in double quotation marks to include multiple parts of a name, such as first and last name.

<email-address>

A valid email address of an email sender.

Example

The following example adds an impersonation rule with the valid names and email addresses of an executive of ABC Company, Patti Smithers:

hostname (config) # email-analysis impersonation add "Patti Smithers","Pat Smithers" psmithers@abccompany,pat.smithers@abcgroup.com

After you set this rule, emails with senders that have similar or related names and email addresses, such as Patty Smithers and patricia.smithers@abcgroup.com, may generate riskware alerts for impersonation.
