email-analysis interface ipv6 address

Prev Next

Configures the static IPv6 address and mask length for the pether3 interface so that the Email Security — Server appliance can receive and send emails in Block analysis mode, Monitor analysis mode, or Drop analysis mode.

When IPv6 is enabled on the SMTP interface, you can configure only one static IPv6 address for the pether3 interface. When you add a static IPv6 address, the previous address will be overwritten by the new address.

To delete the specified static IPv6 address and mask length for the pether3 interface, use the no interface pether3 ipv6 address command. To verify the configuration for the static IPv6 address and mask length for the pether3 interface, use the show ipv6 route command.

For details about how to configure the SMTP (pether3) interface with an IP address, refer to the "Restricting MTA Access" section in the "Email MTA Configuration" chapter of the Email Security — Server User Guide.

Important

You must enable IPv6 on the SMTP interface before you configure the static IPv6 address and mask length for the pether3 interface. For details, refer to the "Basic Network Configuration" chapter Email Security — Server System Administration Guide.
