Enable FIPS mode in the EDRF Policy Catalog

Once the Endpoint Security (HX) server is added, you must enable the FIPS setting within the product policy.

  1. In Trellix ePO, navigate to Menu → Policy → Policy Catalog.

  2. From the Product drop-down list, select Trellix EDR with Forensics.

  3. In the General policy category, click Edit for the target policy.

  4. In the Forensics Server (HX) option, locate the server list and ensure the selected servers display (FIPS enabled) next to the server name.

  5. Click Save.

Verify FIPS policy status

To ensure that the target policy correctly enforces FIPS mode, verify the underlying configuration values.

  1. Navigate to the Trellix EDR with Forensics policy page.

  2. In the General policy, click Actions and select Export.

  3. Open the exported file and locate the mxa/fips/enabled value.

  4. Verify the value is set to true.

Important

If the mxa/fips/enabled value is false, manually change the value to true in the exported file. Then use the Import action in the Policy Catalog to update the policy.
