To reduce the load on ePO - On-prem, enable peer-to-peer service in your broadcast domain.
Note
Peer-to-peer service is enabled by default in McAfee Default and My Default policies.
Select → → → tab, then select the required group under System Tree.
All systems in this group appear in the details pane.
Select the required system, then click → → .
The Policy Assignment page for that system appears.
From the Product drop-down list, select Trellix Agent.
The policy categories are listed with the system’s assigned policies.
Click Edit Assignment under Actions corresponding to the General policy category.
Next to the Inherit from option, select Break inheritance and assign the policy and settings below to inherit the policies from.
From the Assigned policy drop-down list, select My Default policies, then click Edit Policy.
Note
You can also create a policy by clicking New policy.
On the Peer-to-Peer tab, select these options as appropriate:
Select Enable Peer-to-Peer Communication to allow Trellix Agent to discover and use peer-to-peer servers in the network.
Select Enable Peer-to-Peer Serving to enable Trellix Agent to serve content to peer agents.
Click Save.
