Enabling quiesce mode

To enable quiesce mode:

  1. Enable CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
hostname # configure terminal
                  

  2. Enable quiesce mode:

    hostname (config) # hx server quiesce
              

  3. Save your changes:

    hostname (config) # write memory
                  

  4. Check the result:

    hostname (config) # show hx server general

    The following snippet represents the quiesce information from the output of this show command:

    Quiesce Mode:
 App Proc: enabled
 Message Bus: enabled

    Important

    Remember to disable quiesce mode after you finish maintaining Endpoint Security (HX) appliances to ensure they resume generating tasks and accepting alerts.
