Exclude files or directories from scanning

Exclude files and folder paths from an on-access scan or on-demand scan.

  1. Click the Trellix menulet GUID-9BE2692D-7F54-44CB-AE3B-3D141955024E-low.png on the status bar, then select Preferences.

  2. Click Threat Prevention, then click Exclusions.

  3. Click GUID-8CC2C84C-B44D-4B10-A920-D4E503DB9CC1-low.png, type the administrator password, then click OK.

  4. Click GUID-213AEF71-3D9B-4242-AB47-3B513C7B845E-low.gif in the bottom left corner.

  5. Select the path of the required files and folders, then click Open.

  6. Select or deselect the On-Access Scan and On-Demand Scan options as needed.

    • To remove the item from the exclusions list, select it, then click GUID-4AE5F6A7-2605-4A43-B49D-792278615553-low.png in the bottom left corner of the page.

  7. Click GUID-52897A50-A206-4BD9-9A2A-FA22858761B5-low.png to prevent further changes.
