Exporting a script

You can export an operating system section of a data acquisition script to a JSON file.

To export a data acquisition script:

  1. Select Data Acquisition Scripts from the Configure section in the main menu of the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI.

  2. Select the script you want to export on the left side of the page.

  3. At least two Actions menus appear for user-defined scripts. One menu appears in the heading area and one appears for each operating system that the script supports. (The supplied Standard Investigative Details, Comprehensive Investigative Details, and Process Details scripts do not have an Actions menu in the heading area.)

    As appropriate, select Export script in the Actions menu of the operating system section of the script you want to export.

    A JSON file for the select operating system is downloaded to your computer. The JSON file name includes the operating system so you can easily determine which scripts are for which operating system.
