Specifies the threshold for malware entries in the appliance database. When the number of malware entries exceeds this threshold, a scheduled purge job removes malware data from the database to make room for newer malware entries. Non-malicious data is removed first, followed by malicious data, as needed.

Syntax

[no] fedb malware archival himark <number>

Parameters

<number>

Specify a positive integer for the threshold of malware entries in the database.

no

Restores this setting to its default. For most appliances, the default is 2000000 (two million) records. For 10G appliances, the default is 8000000 (eight million) records.

Example

The following example specifies the malware record threshold in the appliance database as 1800000 records:
