Sets the default severity type for rsyslog notifications.

Syntax

[not] fenotify rsyslog default send-as <send-as-type>

Parameters

no

Use the no form of this command to remove the default setting.

send-as-type

The following options are supported:

  • alert—Action must be taken immediately (severity 1).

  • crit—Critical conditions (severity 2).

  • debug—Debug-level messages (severity 7).

  • emerg—Emergency: system is unusable (severity 0).

  • error—Error conditions (severity 3).

  • info—Informational messages (severity 6).

  • notice—Normal but significant conditions (severity 5).

  • warning—Warning conditions (severity 4).

Example

The following example enables daily notification, per attacker:

hostname (config) # fenotify rsyslog send-as warning
