Backs up the Trellix Endpoint Security Agent (HX) certificates by exporting the PKI keys to a file. This is an essential step if you are going to reinstall, update, or reset an appliance. If you do not back up your agent certificates, you are required to reinstall your agents after upgrading your appliance.
Syntax
hx pki export file <file URL> [passphrase <passphrase>]
Parameters
export file <file URL>
This command specifies a path to which the certificate are sent.
passphrase <passphrase>
Optionally, specify a passphrase for the certificate backup file.
Example
The following example backs up your agent certificate to a URL and assigns the password "password123" to the backup file:
hostname (config) # hx pki export file scp://user@host:/path/to/file passphrase password123
