Install ePO on AWS server

Before you start the installation process, ensure to do the following actions:

  • Set up a connection to AWS server.

  • Make sure the Trellix ePO server machine and SQL server machine supports communication over TLSv1.1 or TLSv1.2 protocols. For more information, see KB91823.

  • Create a Database in EC2 instance with the supported SQL Server.

  • Note down the private IP address and the database credentials (sa user) to specify during the installation.

  1. Launch the Remote Desktop Connection and enter the configured IP address or DNS name of your EC2 instance.

  2. Enter your credentials and click Connect.

  3. Start the installation process.

  4. In Database Information, configure the Microsoft SQL Server using the AWS Server name or the IP address of the database server.

  5. Create a backup image of your server.

    1. Log onto AWS Console.

    2. Click Instances to see a list of your AWS Servers.

    3. Right-click the AWS Server that you created, then select the Image and Templates.

    4. Click Create Image. For more instructions, refer AWS documentation.
