Install Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Mac on managed systems

You can install the Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Mac software on systems managed with ePO - SaaS.

Task

  1. Log on to Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS as an administrator.

  2. Select Menu → Software → Product Deployment.

  3. In the Product Deployment page, configure these settings.

    1. Group Name — Type a group name. When you type a group name, a system tree group with the given name is created to deploy this configuration.

    2. In Platform, select macOS.

    3. In Endpoint Protection Software, select the required modules.

    4. In Advanced Options, select Software is automatically updated to the latest version.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Download the corresponding Trellix Agent from the Trellix Smart Installer URL.

  6. Run the Trellix Smart Installer on the managed system.

    The selected modules are automatically downloaded and installed.

    Note

    After upgrading macOS endpoints to the latest versions of Trellix products, Trellix recommends checking the installed product versions. If any products are missing or have not been upgraded to the latest version, it is necessary to manually upgrade them. For details, see KB96552.
