Enables IPv6 autoconfig on a specified interface.

Syntax

<no> interface <interface name> ipv6 address autoconfig {default|privacy}

Parameters

no

Disables IPv6 autoconfig.

interface name

The interface to be used.

default

Enables learning routes from the address autoconfiguration.

privacy

Uses privacy extentions for the address autoconfiguration.

Examples

The following example enables the default IPv6 autoconfig:

hostname (config) # interface ether1 ipv6 address autoconfig default

The following example disables the default IPv6 autoconfig:

hostname (config) # no interface ether1 ipv6 address autoconfig default
