This section provides the information you need to manage hosts and host sets.
A host is a computer, server, or other endpoint system on the network. Hosts are monitored for suspicious activity by the Endpoint Security (HX) software. Trellix Endpoint Security (HX) xAgent software is installed on each individual host endpoint. To complete the agent software installation on the endpoint, the agent connects to a provisioning Endpoint Security (HX) and is provisioned for monitoring. After the agent is provisioned, the host can be viewed on the Hosts pageHost page the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI. Each agent is assigned an agent ID that uniquely identifies its host endpoint during Endpoint Security (HX) processing.
Managing host endpoints includes viewing information about them, resolving cloned agents, scanning for malware, and removing hosts (as needed) from the Endpoint Security (HX) system.
