Migrated exclusion policies and exception policies are visible in the Web UI and the API. Only the settings that were modified for the excluded host or exception are visible. The xAgent Default Policy is applied for all other settings.
You cannot edit migrated exclusion or exception policies or change the host set assignments. If you need to modify the settings for a migrated exclusion or exception policy, you must recreate it in the Web UI using a custom policy, reapply the host set assignments and priority level, and delete the migrated policy.
An exclusion or exception policy is connected to a specific policy category. The new custom policy must define values for all of the xAgent settings in the policy category that defined the exclusion or exception policy. This will ensure that the final xAgent configuration applied to the assigned host set remains the same as the previous configuration, with the exception of the new setting values.
Follow these guidelines when creating a custom policy to replace a migrated exclusion or exception policy.
Assign new values to the settings that match the exclusion or exception policy settings you want to change.
Assign the same values to the settings that match the exclusion and exception policy settings you do not want to change.
Assign default values to all other policy settings.
Important
To maintain the xAgent configuration, the xAgent default policy values must be put into the newly created custom policy for all other policy settings.
Apply the same host set assignment and policy priority level.
