System requirements
The following lists the system requirements for this release of Trellix Mobile Security:
The minimum OS version is Android 6. The local VPN functionality requires Android 6 and higher.
For standard Samsung Knox device action support, Android version 7.x and Knox version 2.7 and later are required. For Samsung Knox MTD support, Knox version 3.3 and later are required.
What’s new
The new features provided in this release of the Trellix Mobile Security Android application.
PDF Sharing: This release provides the option to share PDFs with MTD, where they can be scanned to detect whether they are malicious or contain phishing links.
Zero-Touch Activation: A new zerotouch variable allows administrators to configure the MTD app within an MDM. When this variable is set to true, the dashboard or any active threats display before the permission requests when MTD is launched for the first time following zerotouch activation.
Note: Zero-touch activation must be set up separately, such as through a VPN profile or a supervised web content filter profile.
Threat Forensics: This release includes a new IP of Detected URL forensics field that is passed to zConsole for phishing protection and web content filtering threats when VPN-based phishing protection/web content filtering is used.
Performance Fixes: General product performance resolutions.
Bug Fixes: General stability improvements.
